Dear Students:
I would like to personally invite all of our students to attend the
Kongeiko 2012. I will be
teaching the adult class along with Shihan and the other sensei’s.
The annual Kongeiko Extreme Winter
Training on January 28 & 29, 2012 is a chance for every student to experience
a powerful physical and spiritual event that has become a tradition for
AMMA. Kids will train on Saturday January 28, from 10a-1p. While
Adult attendees will train on Sunday January 29 and must come to the dojo by
10p on the 28th, sleep until 2:45a
and train until 9AM! It is suggested all attendees to Kongeiko spend the
next day resting for this impressive achievement.
I have never missed a Kongeiko to date.
I used to travel from Maryland (where I went to college) to train
at Kongeiko. Shihan used to
travel to Kentucky every year to train at Kongeiko.
Shihan attributes some of his warrior mentality to the lessons he
learned during Kongeiko. I know
you will carry forth the lessons that you gain from Kongeiko.
I always prided myself on my spirit during training, and it is my
hope that some of my spirit will be instilled in you.
